Dairy Cottage is a charming 16th century holiday cottage located in the small village of Newby, just seven miles south of Penrith between the Lake District and the North Pennines.
Dairy cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard and has been 4 star graded.
Dairy cottage was once a Westmorland farmhouse and dairy dating back to the beginning of the 16th century, and the cottage retains many original features and offers comfortable accommodation for a couple or small family looking for a holiday near the Lake District.
The village of Newby is a tiny hamlet, offering the cottage a peaceful location. A two minute drive is all that is needed to reach the amenities of nearby Morland and the beauty of Morland Beck. Further afield are the busy market towns of Appleby, Penrith, Keswick and Kendal.
Dairy cottage is ideally positioned to explore the Lake District to the west, and offers an ideal base for both walkers and cyclists. The beautiful Lowther Castle and Gardens are only ten minutes drive away.
